Akos Hivekovics

Akos, an ornithologist, was born near a wilderness area of southwestern Hungary. By the age of eleven he was working at a bird-banding station. That experience ignited his passion for birds. He completed his degree in Hungary in environmental sciences and research, joining Quark Expeditions in 2001.

Akos is ornithologist aboard the Northeast Passage and Arctic Islands expeditions in the boreal summer of 2008.
