Marcos Benavides,
Executive Chef

Marcos has 20 years of experience as an Executive Chef. However, he says his career began at the age of 7, when he helped in the family kitchen. When not on polar expedition vessels, he lives in Ushuaia, where he can watch ships sail for Antarctica.

He became a Polar Chef in 1994 and has spent more than 10 seasons preparing delicious meals for travelers to Antarctica. Marcos will be the Executive Chef aboard the Adventure Ship Akademik Shokalskiy during the 2008 Arctic season.
