Tobias Schreiber, Bartender

Toby is a bartender with a wide smile and a knack for making gin and tonics. Growing up in Berlin he hoped that one day he would see the rest of the world. He began to fulfill his dream by studying for the Civil Service. Longing to go to sea, he changed course, entering the Hospitality industry.

For seven years, Toby worked his way from bell boy to receptionist to concierge, earning and learning at the same time. After a stint in event coordination – Toby’s done it all – he traveled to the White Continent aboard Quark vessels.

On June 29, 2008, while at the North Pole, Tobias married Quark Chef du Rang Carola Jurecxka.
