Marcelo Vanecek, Client Services Manager

Marcelo arrived in Ushuaia at the age of 2, when his family moved from Buenos Aires. His childhood memories are of an outdoor life in a much smaller Ushuaia than visitors encounter now. Marcelo completed high school in United States as an exchange student. He learned to see the world from a different perspective and speak English as a second language.

On his return to Argentina, he spent every summer in Ushuaia in the travel industry. He spent his winters in Buenos Aires earning a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management from the Universidad del Salvador. He began welcoming travelers to Antarctica since 2003.

Marcelo says, “I enjoy very much my work which has given me the opportunity to get to know Antarctica (2005 & 2008) and also the Arctic (2007). In my free time, I ski, camp, fish and fly single engine planes at the local Flight Club.
