Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Celeste’s love for the wild outdoors began from afar – one of her most recurring items on her To-Do list as a child was to ‘save $5000 to save the penguins in Antarctica’, amongst other (more achievable) things such as ‘buy a tamagotchi’.
Fascinated by the social and natural worlds and our place within them, Celeste studied a double degree in International Relations and Communications, and quickly found satisfaction in working with people and providing exceptional guest experiences.
A year working and studying in France gave her the opportunity to hone her language skills while exploring the likes of Europe, Scandinavia, the UK and the Mediterranean. This was followed by time spent back in Sydney managing Space Camp expeditions for high-school students from Australia to the States.
Now calling Vancouver Island home since 2020, Celeste spends her summers coordinating guest experiences at a remote wilderness lodge off the west coast, and can be found in the winter skiing slopes across North America. When not managing guest operations, she’ll be out there hiking, camping, paddling or trail running the backcountry – coming back time and time again to share the best of the wilderness in hope of a more ethical and sustainable future of travel.
